MagHub is a complete, cloud-based software solution, providing all the publishing, data management and business tools you need to run a media and magazine publishing company.

You can manage customers through the entire sales process with an advertising CRM. You can create interactive proposals. You can sell print and digital advertisements. You can do ecommerce – subscriptions, services, and other goods. You can do digital flatplanning.

MagHub automates workflows, provides client and vendor portals, gives you financial and administrative tools, as well as project management capabilities.

As if that weren’t enough, another great feature about MagHub is that it can produce all kinds of reports. You can see exactly how your company is doing by checking out MagHub reports on things like sales opportunities, income, expenses, production, distribution, and more.

MagHub can help you manage your data

You can create detailed sales forecasts, financial summaries, keep track of sales rep performance, and use filters to generate custom reporting fields. And you can do custom reporting using our data warehouse.

The data warehouse is a subset of the data kept in MagHub’s operational database. The warehouse contains data on contacts, companies, sales – both orders and line items – activities, invoice data, commissions data, and general ledger information. The warehouse also holds dynamic attribute data and some ticket information as it relates to services and support tickets.

What’s more, MagHub also integrates with the amazing report building tool Metabase, giving you an additional resource for data management and analyzing your data. To see a demonstration of what Metabase can do, watch the webinar hosted by Tom Bellen, a product manager at Aysling.

In the webinar, Tom explains that Metabase, sitting atop your data warehouse, can help you analyze all that data

You ask specific questions of it, and it puts together a chart or graph. As Tom explains, it is especially useful in doing comparisons and showing trends over time.

For example, in one illustration, Tom shows a report comparing print sales for the past three years on a month over month basis and year over year. The Metabase program can give you a breakdown based on different properties that you choose.

It allows you to make many different types of comparisons by applying different filters to the data. You can also embed the charts and dashboards into your applications and use pivot tables in the system. You can also control who can see the data. And the results can be exported.

Another illustration Tom used in the webinar was a finance chart produced by Metabase showing a breakdown in several areas that he chose – the amount due by company, expected cash by day to pay, bad debt payments, and past due invoices.

Metabase gives you many different ways to represent the data

You can also turn the Metabase dashboard into a visual illustration of a company’s overall financial health, with filters based on the company.

There are other features that Metabase offers as well.

For example, it will give you an alert when a metric hits a certain number, for example, when a time series reaches a goal or a progress bar reaches a goal.

And you can customize what happens when someone clicks on a chart.

Together, MagHub and Metabase give you powerful ways to break down your data and help make data management extremely simple.
