You’ll notice a trend with our Aysling Team Spotlight posts, a majority of them are about our support team, and that’s because at Aysling | MagHub we focus heavily on our support team. Many of our competitors in this space only have one or two individuals that help with support, and that’s not even their primary job! Support, projects, and on-boarding are critical roles that help our clients succeed, and we believe in offering a variety of tools necessary for them succeed. Today’s Aysling Team Spotlight, is another member of our terrific Support Team, please welcome Joe Carr.

Joseph Carr, but I prefer “Joe”.
What is your job title at Aysling?
Support Analyst
So, what does that mean you actually do?
A lot of stuff. I answer all kinds of questions via Live Chat and Support Tickets. I also do a lot of work in Pendo to create in-app guidance and announcements. If you’ve seen any of the in-app guidance powered by Pendo, it’s very likely that I had a hand in creating it!
How long have you worked at Aysling?
I’ve been a full-time employee for a little over a year now.
What is your favorite thing about working at Aysling?
I like being in close proximity to all departments. I sit within 30 feet of folks from Sales, Support, Development, Design, Marketing, and Accounting. So when something comes up (which happens a lot in support) it’s a lot easier to get a question answered quickly.
Have you seen our new offices yet? It definitely allows our departments to communicate to solve problems!
What is/was your favorite magazine publication?
Bon Appétit, some of the recipes are fantastic.
Another interesting fact about Joe, he’s a Pizza Chef; just ask him about his previous work experiences, or the science behind cooking a solid pizza.
If you had to publish your own magazine, what would it be about?
It would probably have something to do with Music. Whether it’s artists, instruments, or gear.
It wasn’t said, but it’s probably safe to say that Joe is a fan of our client, Premier Guitar’s publication.
What is the one piece of software you cannot live without?
Apple Music. Like most, I’m powered by music.
What is your favorite season?
Fall
If you could live in any movie/television show, which one would it be? And why?
Probably Ready Player One. Not that I loved the movie but the idea of full-dive VR sounds amazing and I’d love to experience it.

Interesting fact about yourself?
I’m a musician. I’ve played Bassoon, Bari Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Tuba, Trombone, and Percussion in Concert Bands. I also played Tenor Sax and Bass Guitar in Jazz Bands, and was second Bassoon in the Dearborn Youth Symphony Orchestra when I was in high school. I was also in a metal band in high school.
